🤖 Meta's new campaign wants you to trust AI
LINK
|
- Meta is positioning its AI as trustworthy and accessible to everyday consumers, a stance that signals brands can pitch AI as something for regular people rather than corporations, unlike rivals who lean toward enterprise customers to grow.
- The consumer-accessibility bet matters for marketers because Meta frames its AI vision around free, widely available technology, contrasting itself with competitors who promote fear and alarmist views about jobs and security in the AI era.
- A video ad, part of a broader paid and earned media campaign, points to Meta's reach of 3.5 billion people over 22 years, reinforcing a mass-market message that brands adopting AI can follow.

⏳ Google Ads just gave your old suspensions an expiry date
LINK
|
- Starting July 21, 2026, Google shut off the option to appeal any Google Ads policy decision directly from an account once that decision is more than six months old, publishing and enforcing the rule on the same day.
- The change hits a large pool of actions, since Google's systems blocked over 8.3 billion ads in 2025 and issued 24.9 million account suspensions, and read literally the six-month bar sweeps in the entire pre-January 2026 enforcement record.
- Appeals filed from inside the account normally resolve fast, with Google reporting 99 percent handled within 24 hours and incorrect suspensions cut by more than 80 percent, but late filers are often those who never knew a decision had been made.

🛍️ Apple is turning its Store app into an AI sales channel
LINK
|
- Apple plans to add a virtual shopping assistant to its Apple Store app, giving users a chat interface where they can ask questions about Apple products before deciding what to buy.
- To personalize responses, Apple will collect account information, device identifiers, carrier information, chat information, and, where enabled, location data, saving transcripts for later reference and for its own business analytics.
- Apple scrubs personal identifiers from chats before sending them to "partners," which suggests it may be using a third-party AI model, though the feature is not yet live in the app.

⏱️ Why your Shorts should stay under 30 seconds
LINK
|
- An Adobe Express study of 507 YouTube creators found that Shorts under 30 seconds tend to perform best for views, shares, click-throughs, and saves, though slightly longer clips work just as well for subscriber growth.
- Among the creators surveyed, 53% picked under 30 seconds as ideal for views, 49% said that length drives more click-throughs to long-form videos, and 70% reported having had a Short go viral.
- For subscriber growth, under 30 seconds and 30 to 60 seconds tied at 34% each, while 63% of creators said YouTube Shorts has become more valuable for channel discoverability this year.

⚽ How World Cup creators changed your reach
LINK
|
- The 2026 FIFA World Cup showed how content creators reshaped brand reach, with creator-led posts beating celebrity endorsements and platforms like YouTube and TikTok using their creator partnerships to bring younger audiences to the tournament.
- According to Nectar, 10 of the top 15 posts by EMV were creator-led, with creators earning median views of 929,000 against celebrities' 573,000, while Kalshi's sports-betting creator post reached 126 million views.
- YouTube reported more than 1.7 billion unique viewers watched World Cup-related videos, and TikTok's dedicated World Cup hashtag grew from 25.4 billion to 54.7 billion views, a 116% increase from kickoff to the final.
