🛒 Amazon turns Prime Video shows into shoppable ads
LINK
|
- Amazon is rolling out new features that let people shop for products while watching Prime Video, building on its X-Ray experience and adding a way to buy items directly from what appears on screen.
- The "Shop the Show" feature in Amazon's app is growing from 1,300 titles to more than 8,000 in the U.S., covering Prime Originals, select licensed favorites, and live sports.
- A new "Shop the Scene" tool, live today on iOS and Android across more than 600 titles, uses Amazon Lens visual search to identify products inspired by characters' outfits, home decor, and other items in a scene.

🧵 Zuckerberg says Threads may now outreach X
LINK
|
- Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Threads has either grown past X in size or is very close to doing so, marking the app Meta built to challenge the platform formerly known as Twitter.
- Threads reached 500 million monthly active users in June, while a SpaceX prospectus in May put X at around 550 million monthly active users, up from 520 million in December 2025.
- For advertising, Zuckerberg said the specific audience on each app matters more than total size, noting he still uses X to reach AI industry people who stay active there.

🎾 3 creator-event mistakes the US Open just exposed for you
LINK
|
- The creator backlash at this year's US Open revealed three mistakes brands make with creator activations at big cultural events: weak briefing, poor creator-event matching, and choosing moments where the brand does not belong.
- Viral videos showed creators filming loudly, using ring lights during matches and disturbing spectators, prompting experts to blame brands and agencies for failing to explain the "unspoken rules" of the traditionally gatekept tournament.
- Some brands activated around the event rather than at it, such as eos partnering with tennis player Ayan Broomfield, and Levain Bakery and Chase working with Paige Paul's Dairy Boy pop-up during US Open Fan Week.

📊 Google Analytics gives you customizable dashboards
LINK
|
- Google Analytics has launched Dashboards, a feature that lets businesses pull their most important KPIs and visualizations into a single customizable report built directly inside the platform, without jumping between separate reports.
- Building reports is now drag-and-drop on a grid-based canvas, with six visualization types at launch: scorecards, tables, line charts, bar charts, donut charts and funnel charts for tracking conversion steps and drop-offs.
- Standard properties can include up to 15 cards per dashboard while premium properties support up to 30, and users need an Editor or Administrator role to create and publish, though anyone with property access can view.

📱 Q2 index reveals six TikTok formats winning audiences
LINK
|
- The Q2 2026 TikTok Editing Format Index, a quarterly benchmark from Net Influencer built with data from social listening firm dig, found six editing formats that gained ground with audiences across the platform.
- The index tracks 20 editing formats across 58,037 US TikTok posts, scoring each on how many creators make it and how fast audiences respond, with the top 1 percent most-viewed posts removed so viral hits cannot skew results.
- Photo Carousels nearly doubled from 717 to 1,317 posts and rose on both signals, while Shoppable Video Tagged grew 55 percent in post count yet lost 41 percent in engagement rate against the average post.
